Chocolate chip & Oatmeal Cookies
How to make chocolate chip and Oatmeal Cookies, easy step by step instructions, start to finish.

- 70g / 2½oz brown sugar
- 100g / 3½oz White granulated sugar
- 112g / 4oz Butter (room temperature)
- 6g /1tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 Large egg
- 130g / 4½oz Plain or all purpose flour
- 180g / 6½oz Rolled or instant oats
- 2g / ¼tsp Salt
- 4g / 1tsp Baking powder, (sifted in to avoid lumps)
- 60g / 2oz White chocolate chips
- 60g / 2oz Dark or milk chocolate chips
- 20g / 1tble Honey
- Topping:
- 100g / 3½oz white chocolate
- 30g / 1oz Cocoa powder
- Prepare two of baking trays lined with parchment paper, see video for tray dimensions.
- Preheat your oven to 190°C / 375F or gas mark 5.
- Start the recipe by adding the sugars and butter (make sure your butter is at room temperature) to the bowl and cream those together until you have a nice smooth paste.
- Add the vanilla extract and egg and once again make sure your egg is at room temperature, now mix until you have a smooth batter.
- Next add all of the other dry ingredients and add the honey, mix it all together until you have sticky mass of cookie dough.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces using digital scales.
- Roll each cookie into a ball and slightly flatten it.
- Place the raw cookies on the prepared baking tray equally spaced apart.
- Place the cookies in the oven and set the timer for 13 minutes.
- After the time is up place the trays on wire racks for 10 minutes.
- After the 10 minutes remove them from the trays and paper and let them sit on the wire racks until completely cool.
- You can have them as they are, or decorate them as shown in the video.
