Lamb Chilli Burgers

Delicious Lamb chilli burgers, easy step by step instructions from start to finish

Ingredients

Method

  • 500g / 17½oz Minced / ground Lamb 20% fat
  • 1 Small onion
  • 2 to 3 chilli peppers
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Large egg
  • ½tsp/ 2g Salt
  • 1tsp / 2g Mixed herbs
  • 2 Crumbly stock cubes (optional)
  • 2tsp vegetable oil
  • The dried mixed herbs or Italian Seasoning in the recipe contain Thyme, Marjoram, Parsley, Oregano, Sage, and Basil. You may have to find the equivalent product name in your country.
  • If using a mini processor, roughly chop the onion, chilli and garlic, and add all of the ingredients (except the meat) to the processor and pulse the machine until everything is finely chopped.
  • If you don’t have a processor simply chop the onion, chilli and garlic, very small using a knife, then mix in the other ingredients.
  • Place the meat in a bowl and thoroughly mix in the chilli mixture until it is all completely amalgamated.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 burgers either by guessing or using a digital scale.
  • To fry the burgers get the pan hot add 2tsp of vegetable oil and fry the burgers on a medium heat for approximately 5 to 6 minutes on each side, when the internal temperature reaches 72°C / 162°F the burgers are done.
  • Serve hot in a bun or as part of a meal on a plate.
