Pancakes UK style

How to make 10 unbelievably delicious Sweet Nutella and Banana and Savoury Ham n Cheese UK Pancakes, easy step by step instructions, from start to finish.

  • 150g / 5.3oz Plain / all-purpose flour
  • 3 Medium size eggs
  • 450g / 450mls Milk (whole/full or semi skimmed/ halt fat)
  • 22½g / 1½tbls Vegetable oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Use a filling of your choice, see the video for sweet n savoury options
  • Add the flour, eggs, salt, and oil to a bowl, add a little of the milk, and whisk to a smooth paste.
  • Once you have a smooth paste, add the rest of the milk and whisk for 1 minute.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes before using it.
  • Heat a medium size non-stick frying pan to 180°C that’s 355°F, brush a little melted butter.
  • Add a ladle of the batter to the pan, let it flow to edges of the pan, cook for 3 to 4 minutes, then flip over and cook the same time.
  • Transfer the pancake to a hot plate, continue cooking and stacking the pancakes until all the batter is gone, 2 frying pans on the go, speeds things up considerably.
